Drinking Games!

It cannot be said that as a club we are strict on drinking games when we go about, however we do still play a few of the 'classic' games!

International Drinking Rules

All of these games are played at all times observing the International Drinking Rules, which you may or may not be familiar with. They are more important than any rule we have from Parliament-fact.

  • No peeing without permission
  • No finger pointing
  • No names
  • No swearing
  • No water drinking
  • Thumbmaster
  • Freezemaster
  • Right handed drinking between o’clock and half past the hour
  • Left handed drinking between half past the hour and 59 mins past the hour

Wizz

You will probably come to hate this game but nevermind! Enjoy it whilst it lasts! Here is how the game works!

You all sit round in a circle and then the starter goes! To my left (or right) "wizz".  Then if you are very boring everyone can keep going wizz wizz wizz all the way round! But you don't want to do that so you mix it up.  Basically when you say different things things happen!!!

When you say:
"Boing" - it changes direction.
"Bounce" - it skips the person next to you and then continues in the direction it was going.
"Alfa" - it changes direction and then skips the person next to you (i.e. it is a bounce but causes the flow of the game to change direction.
"Bang" - you point at some one and go bang and that someone then continues the game in the same direction it was going.

Now this is where it gets complicated!
"Header" When someone goes "bounce" and you are the person it skips out, if  you say "header" before the person who should continue the game carries on you make them drink!  If you dont say "header" quick enough - you drink!
"Flick On"  When someone goes "Alfa" and you are the person it skips out, if  you say "flick on" before the person who should continue the game carries on you make them drink!  If you dont say "Flick on" quick enough - you drink!

"BOOM" Basically this causes two people to be skipped out and the game continues.  However if each of the two people in between go "Al toro al toro Por Favour" the person who would continue the game has to down their whole drink!!!!! Hahahaha!

A couple of Rules:
'You can't bang a bang bang'.  So what has happened is someone has gone bang and then the person who was banged also goes bang the third person cannot say bang! They have to say something else!  Get it?!

One more thing with wizz is that hand movements are an absolute must and each thing you say has a different hand movement.  However it would be far to complicated to explain them - so that is just something you can look forward to learning about!!

The number after 20

With this game everyone is again in a circle (you will see that this is a regular theme when it comes to drinking games).

The starter goes "1" and then the game continues with everyone counting up to "20" and then the person who gets to say "the number after 20" has to down 2 fingers of their drink and then make up a new rule!

New Rules:
This is where instead of saying a particular number e.g. 8 you say the new rule.  It can be absolutely anything you want!  Your new rule could be you e.g
- you have to stand up when you say the number 8.
- for every multiple of 5 you have to say "fuck" instead of 8 etc etc.

So each time the game reaches "the number after 20" a new rule is made.  If when playing the game you forget the new rule you have to drink 2 fingers!

So that is the basics of the game but to make it a bit more interesting you can say two or three numbers at a time:
"If you say two numbers in a row" - the game changes direction
"If you say three numbers in a row" - the next person is skipped out and the game continues!

But be warned - you "cant double a double" and you "cant tripple a tripple".  I.e. if someone goes 5,6,7 then the person after the one who has been skipped out cant say "8,9,10".  If they do then they have to drink 2 fingers!  Is it clear now?

This is a great little game - and the more creative you are with your new rules the funnier it is!!

The Witch

Ok, so bear with me on this one, I’m still trying to totally understand it and its even harder to explain!

So, you start off with an object, maybe a set of keys or something. Person 1 starts by handing the keys to someone and saying…

Person 1: This is the witch

Person 2: The what?

Person 1: The witch

Person 2: Ah, (then to person 3) This is the witch

Person 3: The what?

Person 2: (to person 1) the what?

Person 1: (to person 2) the witch

Person 2: (to person 3) the witch

Person 3: Ah (then to person 4) This is the witch

Person 4: The what?

Person 3: (to person 2) the what?

Person 2: (to person 1) the what?

Person 1: (to person 2) the witch

Person 2: (to person 3) the witch

Person 3: (to person 4) the witch

Person 4: Ah ) then to person 5) This is the witch…

And so on and so forth. May appear simple but when I first played it with only 3 people I was majorly confused. Anyone who stuffs it up has to drink, and the amount depends on how mean everyone is feeling at the time!

Fives

Some of you may already know this game (and so may be able to explain it better than me and get it right more than me!) but for those of you who don’t I’ll see how well I can explain it.

Right, so say there is 6 people all in a group. Each person takes it in turn to say a number which is a multiple of 5, up to 30. (5 x 6 =30). Then the whole group after the count of three put their hands into the middle, either clenched like a fist or palm open. The clenched fist has the value of 0, and the open palm has the value of 5. If the caller gets the value right, they are out and if the get it wrong they have to stay in the game and consume.

Scenario: Person 1 calls 20. After 3, everyone puts their hands in the middle. 3 people do closed fists, (value 0) and 3 people put in open palms giving the grand total of 15, (3 x 5). This means Person 1 got it wrong so has to consume some alcohol and stay in the game.

That all sounds a bit long winded but it really is quite straightforward

Drink While You Think

Someone begins by calling a name out, the next person has to follow by naming someone whose first name begins with the first letter of the previous person’s last name.

Person 1: Bruce Willis

Person 2: Wayne Rooney

Person 3: Robert Redford

Now, someone has named a person who has the same 1st letter of their first and last name so this reverses the game.

The idea is that while you’re thinking you drink, so the longer you take to think, you more you have to drink!

Choose your fuck

This one is quite simple. Each person decides on a name, which has to be some kind of fuck, e.g. Dirty Fuck, Fast Fuck, Hard fuck, Classy fuck…

First person, known as Hard Fuck, starts by saying "Hard Fuck wants a fuck, how about a Clean Fuck?"

Then Clean Fuck carries on by saying "Clean Fuck wants a fuck, how about a Dirty Fuck?"

And that’s basically it I think (unless I’ve left out a REALLY important key in the game, but I think this enough to get confused by!)

Arrogance

Best numbers for this game are between 7-10 people. It involves a contribution cup and a coin. The coin moves around the group one step ahead of the contribution cup. Person on the left adds some of their drink into the contribution cup and tosses the coin, while person to their right guesses heads or tails. If the person guessing gets it right then the cup and coin move on. IF, however, person gets it wrong, they have to drink whatever is in the contribution cup. Sometimes this may only be one person’s drink but other times it might be about 7 people’s-gutted!

G’day Bruce

This one is a bit random and runs along vaguely similar lines to the Witch. Oh, and it gets SO confusing within about 27 seconds of starting the game!

Person 1 says to person 2 (while gesturing to person 3): "Say g’day to Bruce,Bruce."

Person 2 (Bruce) says to person 3 (Bruce): G’day Bruce.

Ok, so this seems quite okish up until now. Then this is where is gets all-agh! At the beginning we will have picked a theme, say for example all the characters from neighbours. So the game continues…

Person 2 (Bruce) to Person 3 (Bruce): (gesturing to person 4) Say g’day to Harold, Bruce.

Person 3 (Bruce) to Person 4 (Harold) : G’day Harold. (gesturing to person 5) Say g’day to Lou, Harold.

Person 4 (Harold) to Person 5 (Lou): G’day Lou. (gesturing to person 6) Say g’day to Summer, Lou.

Person 5 (Lou) to Person 6 (Summer): G’day Summer. (gesturing to person 7) Say g’day to Karl, Summer…

And so it goes on and everyone gets very confused and drunk as whoever cocks it up has to drink! Phew!

That's it!

So now you have all the rules it does mean that standard should be HIGH, and we will nail you if you’re not up to it! Happy drinking!
